DIY collar!
I’ll show you how to make your own detachable collar!
You’ll need :
- A button-down. You will be cutting the collar off, so If I were you buy a new shirt for this project, find one at the nearest thrift shop, or use an old polo. I think that your collar would look awesome with a patterned polo. ;)
- A button or stud
- A needle
- Thread
- Scissors
While I was cleaning my closet yesterday, I found some of my grandma’s old button-down. I chose this since I can wear this with a plain white shirt.
First, start removing the collar.

Second step, trim any edges that might still be left.

Third, get a button or a broach then thread it.

The button should be in the middle of the collar.

Lastly, try to fit your collar! You should fasten it through the button and the buttonhole that’s already in your collar

It’s done! Use your creativity to create you own collar! :)
the hangin’ sole

What’s on me: Zara pink blazer, Hang Ten PH floral top & acid wash-ed shorts, Black lowcut Get Sole
Everything I’m wearing isn’t mine except the blazer. It was from the sponsor of the workshop. To share a little story behind this shot was… I was happy eating by myself and someone just asked me if they can take a photo of me and I’m like sure. Then there’s me and my awkward pose again. Like what I’ve learn from what Lissa Kahayon said, we should also practice our pose!
